About Me
Hello All!
I wanted to give you a little bit of information about who I am. I graduated from Viborg-Hurley in 2015. I then moved to Brookings, SD where I attend South Dakota State University to major in Music Education. In the summer of 2019 I got to marry my husband, Logan and I finished my education in December of 2019. In July of 2022 we celebrated 2 whole years with our daughter Larek Carlene, who is a joy to have in our lives. We also got to welcome the news of baby #2 coming in February of 2023. This will be year 2.5 for me as the music teacher in Viborg-Hurley. I am beyond pleased and excited to be able to share my love of music with all the wonderful students for another year. I feel that all students can find a way to love music and that is my goal. But more than music I am excited to be able to build relationships with all the students and help them get ready for the life they have ahead of them. Nothing is more important to me than having my students learn the value of being respectful and honest by the time they leave my classroom.
Some things that I love to do in my free time are playing music, listening to oldies, being around my friends and family, reading anything and everything, and watching movies when time allows.
I hope to grow this music department and help your students along the way. Please never be afraid to reach out and ask me any and all questions you have.
